Ummæli

  • The canal thing was not accounting for inflation, it would have cost like 8 billion in today's American currency... Then. So now it would be very expensive, not the amount stated in the video. I know no one will care, but whatever I'm not wrong.

  • This idiot seriously thinks you could dig a channel through the middle of Australia, and compares it to the Panama canal. tard

  • Minecraft literally has concrete in it why did you use smooth stone blocks

  • Government agencies have probably tapped y’all’s phones just to hear your chit chats

  • That song he played by HOME at the start of the ad thooo

  • What’s the name of the piano song?

  • Not activated Windows? Welcome to the club

  • the 30 second intro bits are so fun to watch

  • this vpn add really makes me want to pay for Nord

  • 11:27 f**kin' hell they dont like Shadowman

  • but a channel who has saltwater wont do something useful..it needs to be sweetwater which only comes from mountains/clouds

  • Make an entire country liveable vs some fucking lizards

  • I like how they go west on the mercator map instead of going half as far east on the globe.

  • You know what? ELECTRICAL FIRE

  • 11:13 Holy Shit was that a Wirtual reference?

  • "who gets to live on the top of the pyramid?" The one percent

  • “A big fuck off channel”

  • Sumito: I hope that's true Internet historian: _AFTER RECORDING IT TURNS OUT IT WASN'T_

  • You sound like Elon Musk

  • I'm still waiting for the minecraft coop.

  • The Panama Canal cost 8 billion in today’s dollars. It would cost trillions to do, and you’d be attempting to irrigate with saltwater. I don’t think the lizards are what’s stopping this project.

  • 0000

  • architects being famous for weird looking building is a joke. Literally any person that graduates with an architecture degree could make them. but they dont, because their ghhey .

  • They built the panama canal for ~$400 million at a time when a rolls royce cost ~$2000. So that's probably over a trillion in today's money. Actually rolly royce didn't even exist when they built the canal so...

  • 13:11 did they do this

  • Does anyone have a source on the Australian irrigation lizard story?

  • T H E L I Z A R D S

  • i know the death ray building story is mostly bullshit but for some reason its now a fact to me.

  • 8:15 "well you can certainly compare it to the panama canal" "ONLY $375 million??!?" "so assuming Australia did this themselves you could knock like 50 million dollars off" "Australia logistically is alot easier than Panama" that's all great if we forget that the panama canal is like 65km long, and the canal you are talking about would be 2350+kms of length.

  • Swaggetti and memeballs!

  • I always asked myself the question with the canal. To the salt water argument - you can add structures that let the water vaporise and catch up the salt free steam or sth like this. Also planting trees and building houses would reduce the local temperatures. And the money for the canal could be brought back by selling land around the canal. Just think of exclusive areas right at the new and famous canal. And if it works out you can copy paste the project to north Africa

  • with infltaion panama canal costed $9,932,887,500 not $375,000,000

  • That channel through Australia would be one hell of a big engineering project! I'd try this: Go from your areas with trees and plants, and keep adding trees and plants in towards the dead middle. Use plants that don't need a lot of water to help. Plant life holds water.

  • How is he still getting sponsored

  • "14 billion that is sooo cheap"

  • The main reason we don't have a canal in Australia is because of a massive rock

  • Wait, they hate your ads? Your ads are literally the only ones on youtube I don't skip through. Too busy laughing and heavily considering my funds.

  • Unironically agree with the Colosseum thing.

  • My favorite part was the rant about how Australia should dig a 3000km canal through their country. Thats ridiculous, the loss of lizard life would be too great

  • Actually there were slaves involved in the building of the pyramid, but there was also a skilled labor class.

  • Sumito: Says something pretty accurate Internet Historian: MM!

  • "You, me, and 30,000 slaves..." NOPE, apparently those weren't slaves, its said they were slaves, but apparently it's now they were highly respected when they built the pyramids.

    • Now I'm glad I typed that because I paused it right before they noted this

  • We already tried to build a pyramid with modern stuff and we failed miserably after a few months.

  • Best ads in youtube right there nordvpn should be proud

  • Arkitekter

  • I may seem nerdy, but I’m actually really into architecture.

  • The actual death ray was built by Tesla

  • Swagetti and meanballs

  • what's the song at 8:10?

  • My favorite part is how the video doesn’t have the “includes paid promotion,” meaning that he actually lost the sponsorship.

  • Architects: an engineer's worst nightmare

  • Oh my god I just realized that the ad is a wirtual reference

  • 8:49 there were actual proposals to nuke the outback to create a channel

  • Gothic architecture still the best

  • 7:10 is the rest of the world literally that fucking weak? I live in bakersfield CA and 110's + are our averages, have had 121 before, sure it sucks but we dont freak out like the rest of the world apparently.

  • Internet Historian talking about setting up a giant digging program to put in a canal and Sumito wanting to just do an air strike to clear out a huge space for the water is a fantastic example everyone else vs americans

  • Why don't they do it? The lizards.

  • That ad convinced me to get nord

  • Animation completely ripped off from fonejacker

  • Yuo,

  • Yeah... no... about the freakin Pyramids... not even with modern technology could humanity recreate them, they are way ahead in technology to anything we have today, and they are way older than the dynastic guys that eventually found them.

  • Ngl the nissan building with the 5g towers looks legit af

  • ARGGGGITECHTURE

  • so this is the origin of nord vpn man

  • I'm an American and I'll donate my time to digging The Great trans-Australian canal if it means I get to hang out in Australia for a while.

  • rofl. NO WAY you could move a pyramide boulder with a forklift. One boulder was 50t, thats 110000 lbs.

  • 6:17 Um, does someone know how to say the things priest say in a funeral?

  • bruh, that article had the cost in 1914 dollars. You'll have to multiply by 100 years of inflation.

  • We whos building these buildings have a saying. -An architects dream is a workers nightmare.

  • What is the song @ 5:22?

  • conspiracy theorists: *The pyramids were built my aLiEns!11!11111!!!!1!" the thousands of slaves that built them: not cool man

  • "Swaggetti and meme balls" made me laugh out loud

  • 21:30 as a house flipping gamer the music actually made me smile

  • 18:18

  • Bro, I've had that same idea for the Australia channel for years! I reckon it would work, it would just take a long time to set up and be very expensive. It could become a new shipping route and bring more money to the country. And if the land was irrigated, more land for residential and crop farming.

  • Every Frank Gehry building looks *exactly* like someone just watched Robots (2005) and just said "wow that's cool, let's do that but in real life and make it a complete safety hazard for literally anyone trying to work on the outside of it."

  • Better not sunbask there or you might get

  • Nord vpn, your brand has been upgraded by internet historians

  • Nord vpn more like not safe vpn

  • when are we getting the Minecraft twitch streams

  • 1:24 it’s just Japanese spelling for hot and cold, I love these videos

  • Its not an egg its actually nicknamed the gherkin

  • if the pyramids are giant batteries then the surface area solar panels makes sense

  • There have actually been about 5 building around the world that have been known to cause magnified sun rays to melt stuff. Including the Opera house they were talking about. I think the newest one is the walkie talkie building in London?

  • 10:19 good, I had to reset because I got distracted

  • Did you seriously miss Antoni Gaudi? Srsly?

  • Hey HI, Karen here: Colosseum in Rome capacity was 50,000+ not 5,000

  • Is this a Wirtual reference?

  • If they did that in australia international trade could also be buffed, hydro-electricity could be utilised to decrease strain on the power supply and the building of such a canal could create an explosion in open jobs thus decreasing poverty and upgrading the economy making australia the newest superpower also sea salt could be harvested and this will also increase marine life in australia. This is the greatest idea ever and it won't happen because budget and lizards that can be moved

  • ranting about architecture while going "who tf is Le Corbousier" is like shitting on physics papers and saying they're bs and then asking "who is this Einstein guy" lmao

  • Yep live in Australia where anything can kill you in a matter of seconds

  • When you have so much land but the giant middle is uninhabitable

  • with some forklifts and 30,000 slaves you can build just about anything

  • Look at the Romanian Palace of Parliament. It is a insanity.

  • 20:10 when you're watching this on Easter

  • 11:35 ERMAHGERD SERMONING SELT

  • Egyptians had some primitive form of batteries it turns out, we have no clue what they were used for, but they were a thing.

    • @TheJzoli I'm just remembering a Mythbusters episode.

    • Thought that was proven false ages ago. Also quite sure it was Mesopotamia or something, not Egypt.

    • @This username sucks Kewl.

    • I don't like cats

  • The song in 5:34 what is the name?

  • >no Russian architecture (both classical and modern) You had ONE job and you've completely flunked it!

  • MCMANSION C M A N S I O N
